Based in beautiful rural surroundings, the MCSME
offers both the model engineer and general public a great day out!

We are an active and
dedicated group of individuals, who share an interest in model
engineering. The society caters for all model engineering
tastes and our woodland site contains a superb 5" and 7¼"
ground level track, which sweeps through the beautiful Pettypool
Wood. Fully controlled with automatic points and semaphore
signalling, multiple train operations are possible.

The society operates its
own woodland railway! The Pettypool Miniature Railway is open for
business every Sunday afternoon throughout the summer months and has
been providing enjoyment for both adults and children for many
years. Our steam and diesel hauled passenger trains leave
frequently from Woodside station between 1 and 4pm.

MCSME's ability to
operate it's railway is very much due
to the generous and kind support of
our landlords, The Pettypool Trust. It is appropriate to include
reference on this website to the excellent cooperation we receive
from them and to reiterate our commitment to supporting their summer
visitors, who regularly ride with us.
